WORKING SCIENTIFICALLY

Working scientifically is taught through 5 types of enquiry using 10 science skills. This document provides guidance on how children are taught to work scientifically.

SCIENCE CHAMPIONS 2024-2025

Here are the St Teresa's Science Champions for this year, These are children from Y3 and Y4. The Y4 children are returning to the role from last year, This year the Science Champions are focusing on SPACE as their theme.

INVESTIGATING PLANET SIZES

The Science Champions were using salt dough to investigate the size of planets in the solar system. It was a lot of fun. There was discussion about how to work scientifically doing this activity.

As part of their Rocks, Soil and Fossils studies Y4 have engaged in a projects researching volcanoes, making mountains to study erosion and weathering, They have also made fossils.
